In Teko, deletion is carried out by the user, within the application, with no request required and no waiting period. This page describes the scope of each option and provides guidance for users who have already uninstalled the application.
Open Settings › Data and privacy › Privacy and your data. Three levels of deletion are offered, and each requires a confirmation word to be typed before execution.
Removed: training sessions, sets, loads and repetitions, GPS runs and recorded routes, together with the progression derived from them.
Retained: profile, plan, check-ins and wellbeing records.
Removed: all data processed by Teko, including profile, workouts, plans, check-ins, wellbeing, measurements, supplements, cycle, preferences and conversations with the assistant. The application returns to its initial state, equivalent to a fresh install.
Retained: the device's local identity — the name entered, the profile photo, where one has been set, and the preference to require unlock on open. That is what allows the application to identify the user when starting over. To remove these items as well, use option 3.
Removed: all items from the previous option, together with the name entered, the profile photo and any scheduled reminders.
Retained: no user data. Only the key that encrypts the database remains, held in the operating system's secure store: it then protects an empty database and is removed when the application is uninstalled.
The three options above cover Teko's data. Two sets fall outside, as they do not belong to the application:
.tekobak package exported by the user remains wherever they
saved or sent it, and its deletion is theirs to carry out.No action is required. Teko is local-first and keeps no copy of user data on any server: uninstalling removes the encrypted database along with the application. There is no account to close, as the application creates no login, and no server holding the user's history.
Deletion is immediate and permanent. There is no grace period, no recovery area and no cloud copy to restore from, and the controller has no means of recovering the data. To preserve the history before deletion, an encrypted backup may be created in Settings › Data and privacy › Backup and restore; the file is protected by a password known only to the user.
Records that do not belong to Teko remain under the management of those who hold them:
If deletion cannot be completed from the application, the user may write to tekoappsuporte@gmail.com describing the situation. A response is provided within 15 days, as required by the LGPD.
